Jain Pouncey
Jain (she/her) is a sophomore at Villanova studying English and Humanities, hoping to dual major in Criminology. She serves on the Executive Board for Girls who Read and plans to begin hosting her own radio show “Let’s Just Talk for a Minute” through Vilanova’s DJ Radio station. She is a member of the BIPOC Writing community and hopes to continue to Villanova Law after graduation. As a Research Fellow for “Taught By Literature: Recentering Black Women Writers,” Jain intends to research textual history of Black historical writers, primarily Alice Dunbar-Nelson, to spread awareness to public school students. Jain is passionate about the importance of spreading accurate history to the newer generation through the beauty of literature and is excited to be a part of the movement to make that happen.
